Open deadline summer programs/Research opportunities at universities??

I didn't know I was going to be staying here for the summer until today (trip to Asia got cancelled), so I have to start looking for a summer program/job/internship/research opportunity.

Does anyone know of any in the Seattle area with open deadlines or rolling admissions?

Or does anyone even know of how I might be able to get involved with any research opportunities at nearby universities (UW is very close by). I've asked the counselor at my school, but according to her, there are no such opportunities available. I have, however, often seen people on CC discuss research assistant positions available to high school students at nearby universities. How might I get involved with something of the sort?

Thanks in advance! Please help!

Most GCs aren’t in the loop about research programs, especially independent research positions.

The best way to get a research position at a university is to email professors or post-docs directly. Pick a couple researchers whose labs you’d be interested in working in and email them.
