Opinions of Certificate Courses (when transferring) ????

Not entirely sure if this is the right thread, but I figured I might as well start here! I decided to attend community college this year. I am only taking required courses: English, History, Math, etc. and I was thinking about taking an online course. I want to go to med school and become a doctor, so I was browsing courses, and colleges like Harvard and Duke offer online certificate programs in courses like Human Physiology and Neuroscience. I am not looking for accreditation in completion, but they do say you can use the experience on your resume etc.

Do you think it looks good to colleges to have taken these courses from prestigious schools? Or do they gawk at the idea of community college students trying to live up to an Ivy League status? Honestly, I just thought the course would be interesting, but I don’t want colleges to get the wrong idea when I transfer (probably transferring to a state school).

Again, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but my main concern is if these certificates look good/bad on transfer students.

Those online certificate programs are not going to get you into medical school. Online certificates are for job advancements or for personal interest (e.g. medical terminology to be a patient transporter at a hospital). A college will not care if you have that on your resume(it shouldn’t be on your resume).
