Opinions on Sophomore Schedule?

Hello! I am a rising sophomore (2018-2019) and I am looking for opinions on what I have planned for myself this upcoming school year. Current freshmen year gpa: 4.0 UW, 4.583 W

Pre-AP English 10
US Government/Economics
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics 1

  • other courses (elective, foreign language, etc.)

AP Exams Planning to Take
Physics 1
Calculus BC
Biology (see below paragraph)
Micro/Macro + Environmental + Psychology (self study)

I am considering asking the school administration to let me take AP Biology this coming year.
I have taken Biology Honors as a freshmen and got very interested in biology (course average: 95). I have been studying for the SAT II Biology (June 2018) for a little less than 2 months, and have been getting ~750+ on my practice tests. (Although unfortunately I had to end up teaching myself the majority of the subject because our school curriculum moves very slow) I have also taken CB’s ‘mini’ AP Bio Practice test and got 37/40 on the multiple choice part.

Is adding in AP Bio overkill for sophomore year? My current rationale is that I will be taking Multi, AP Physics C, AP Studio Art, and AP Statistics Junior year, and I want to maximize the time I can devote to art (I will be pursuing art as a career).

I’m wondering if despite this, I should make sophomore year a bit easier on myself. This was a bit lengthy, but I would really appreciate opinions, thank you!

Is adding in AP Bio overkill for sophomore year?

YES.do NOT do that to yourself.

why dont you take AP Bio your Jr year instead of Stats? AP stats is not a hard course for someone who has already taken AP CalBC, and will currently be taking Multi.

There’s no point to taking both AP Physics 1/2 and AP Physics C IMO. I would recommend that you take something like AP Bio as a sophomore, AP Chem as a junior and AP Physics C as a senior. This is a pretty “normal” science sequence.
