Hey Guys!
I have a predicament =(
Right now I'm deciding between CUNY Hunter Honors and GW. They're both great schools academically and i love the GW campus. Going to hunter is essentially worry-free with lots of perks (and the extra $13,000 per semester in pocket from TAP doesnt hurt either lol) While GW is giving me a $25,000 a year scholarship without financial aid. And GW actually has my major as opposed to me either choosing another major or transferring in my junior yr.
I really had my heart set on getting out of the city for a while but I adore NYC an wouldn't mind staying.
I think what I really want to know is if GW is worth the risk (especially financially).
Any help is much appreciated! =D

What are you studying and what are your career aspirations?

Completely off the mark of your question, but how do you feel about CUNY Hunter? I considered applying there as a back up but couldn't find too much information on it online.

I was thinking about going for biomedical engineering.
I applied to Hunter as a safety and ended up in the honors program, which is awesome. The only beef I have is that the campus is meh, and I heard the dorms suck. I have yet to go see those.

I am not sure how well biomedical engineering pays...

One way to look at it is if you are planning on entering a profession where you will make more than enough money to pay off your debts the amount financial aid is not necessarily as important as which program is more known for having successful graduates in the profession you are pursuing.

^BME pays fairly well (average starting salary for those with a BS is around 50 a year, higher with a masters). And many in BME go into med, law, business, etc.
