Optional Essay on Supplement -- Format?

<p>The question reads:
Optional: Question 2. Share with us a few of your favorite books, poems, authors, films, plays, pieces of music, musicians, performers, paintings, artists, blogs, magazines, or newspapers? Feel free to touch on one, some, or all of the categories listed, or add a category of your own. </p>

<p>So, this may not be a black-and-white question, bu how would yu guys approach this question? How can you make a paragraph not sound like a list?</p>

<p>One way (which I employed) would be to use a narrative. For example, I wrote about the Dead Kennedys and Anarchism in America, and I talked about how I discovered the former through watching the latter, their impact, how my appreciation of the punk and/or anarchist aesthete developed, etc.</p>
