options after undergrad for low gpa students

stats:
upcoming senior
3.2 cumulative gpa, competitive school with no grade inflation
3.0 science gpa
bio and econ major
retook organic chemistry (got 2 Cs first)
2 Cs in physics
good extracurriculars/leadership
volunteer in local clinic and shadow doctors for clinical experience
2 summers spent in lab research, 1 summer in clinical research
average letters of rec

predicted mcat: around 34

no state residency, but US permanent resident

what are my options after undergrad? would you recommend a smp? i just want to know what other routes one can take to improve their gpa/prove themselves to medical schools.

Well, if you do score a 34 or higher, you can go ahead and try applying to allopathiic schools, assuming there are no other blemishes on your applications.

https://www.aamc.org/download/270906/data/table24-mcatgpagridall0911.pdf

This grid seems to suggest that you will have 30% chance of acceptance with 3.2 cGPA and 34 MCAT.

What your biggest obstacle will be your lack of a state residency since state med schools heavily favor in-state residents and tend to be a bit more forgiving of less than stellar stats.

If you do score well on the MCAT, you should also consider DO programs. (They allow re-takes and you should re-take those Cs in physics to improve your sGPA.)
