Options if not offered work study

If I wasn’t offered work study, will I still be able to get an on-campus job? My brother goes to a UC and was offered work study and he said that the jobs that he applied for were only open to students who had work study. Does anyone know if there are plenty of non-work study jobs for students here at slo?

Don’t have an answer for you, but I have another question that I thought could be answered in this thread as well. How do you know if you were accepted for Work Study? This is the first year I applied for it. Is it part of you financial aid package?

If you get it, it’s listed on your financial aid award. I got it in other schools I applied to, but not here.

You might be able to. I think they usually take work study people first, but if you apply for a lot of on campus jobs, you’ll have a shot. Ask around on campus and check mustang jobs. Also, if you do well in a class, a teacher might ask you if you want to be a grader for them.
