optometry school chances with a BFA

a little history,

I graduated with a BFA a few years ago and have decided I would like to become an optometrist.

I'm from Canada where there are only 2 optometry schools, so most likely I will be applying the US. I know in the US there are about 20 schools, so I understand it's competitive.

My plan is to take all the biology, chemistry, match pre-req's and then take the entrance exams.

My GPA for my BFA degree was not spectacular, so assuming I do well in my courses and my exam, what are my chances for getting it without a degree in science?

Are the science pre-req's pretty standard for all optometry schools?

What’s your GPA anyway?
