Oral Surgeons

<p>Can someone give me some information on what it takes to be an oral surgeon? Is this a dental specialty and how much work benefits do you get compared to other medical professions?</p>

<p>i don't know how it's done elsewhere, but at OHSU (Oregon's medical school) they accept one student per year into an oral and maxillofacial surgery program, in which they are taught by both the med and dental schools, and graduate in 6 years w/ an MD:</p>
