Hey!
I received a letter in the mail being invited to the Orange Carpet Reception on March 12th, it says to honor me and my parents. I called Clemson they said it’s for a scholarship that they considered me for! Anybody else got this?

I think they are diversity scholarships. Both for race and gender.

Thank you, hopefully it’s a decent amount because I can not afford Clemson even with the 15k of financial offered.

I got it as well! I was hoping more people would reply, but I guess not! I’m going to shoot an email to Clemson about this event to gather more information! I need as much money as possible. If it’s for scholarship opportunities like they said, that’d be great! Luckily I will already be on my way to Clemson for Future Tiger Days on March 13th, so the timing is perfect.

The Orange Carpet Reception is a reception on behalf of Clemson University Board of Visitors as well as the President’s Office and this reception is a way to recognize outstanding achievements from high achieving students such as yourself as well as celebrate their success. Also, you will be able to learn about potential scholarships for high achieving students also.

I hope you will join us at the Orange Carpet Reception on Thursday, March 12."

Basically an event for scholarship possibilities and offers.
