Orientation Dinners

<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I know that a lot of people that hang out on here are also on the Service Academy Forums, but for those of you who aren’t, I thought I would also keep you in the loop. I believe that hornetguy organized the orientation dinners last year, but as he will be graduating he has passed it on and I decided to take it on since I live in town. </p>

<p>The dates for each dinner are April 11th , 18th , and 25th. Currently it looks like they will be at Olive Garden if there are no objections After calling them the other day it looks like the time will be 3:30 in the afternoon, which may make it hard for some with later flights, but the manager was really trying to make it work since we have done this before.</p>

<p>Next week I will begin the sign up for the April 11 dinner. I will start each sign up a month before the actual date, so the others will start on March 18th and 25th. </p>

<p>Since a lot of you guys are also on SAF’s, please sign up on there if you can. If you only have a membership on here than feel free to use this sign up. I will try to keep them updated on both sites so that we can all see the numbers.</p>

<p>the past couple of years we’ve started about 4:30-5 b/c of flights. Cadets leave about quarter til 7 to make it back for ACQ, but appointees and their parents normally stay for a little while. and this year, hornet and I can stay since we’re firsties!</p>

<p>and just out of curiosity, why making the call for Olive Garden? for the 11th OG is at 15 over RR (10) and TGIF (1), but the others aren’t conclusive at all:</p>

<p>Maybe Olive Garden, TGIF, then Red Robin? Nice for the cadets to not eat the same restaurant for three weekends in a row…</p>

<p>I didn’t mean to say that they all would be at OG. Yes, I agree that the votes are not conclusive to make that decision. The first one will be olive garden (at least, that is what it looks like), but I will set up the others in the coming weeks (hopefully we will get a few more votes).</p>

<p>For the 11th, OG only gave me the option of 3:30 because the manager said that they wouldn’t be able to seat us all when it gets busier at 4:30. Hopefully if other restaurants are selected, they will be able to give us a time closer to 5.</p>
