Orientation

I have orientation soon and I was wondering if I should stay in the dorms rather than a hotel?

Dorms. You experience more that way

I stayed in a hotel with my parents and I was happy with that decision because it allowed me to use a computer and plan my final schedule for registration the next day. I knew almost all of my closest friends coming in though. One of my roommate’s best friends (I didn’t know my roommate coming in) was his roommate for orientation.

Basically it’s just whether you want to try to meet more people vs. have time to plan your schedule at the last minute so you aren’t so stressed/have a better schedule when it comes time to register

I’m staying in the dorm as well when my DD2 comes for orientation. If you see some old guy wearing Purdue gear next week that’s me :).

There have been various mentions of New Student Orientation late activities, any idea what’s happening, where, and when? Is there an official detailed schedule?

My daughter worked at orientation for a couple of years. Typically they open up the SRSC for awhile and plan something else in the evening. Those activities are for the students. No parent activities at night.
