Hi! I’ve been looking into good colleges for computer science in Ohio, and the Ohio State University has come up a lot. Knowing that it has a good reputation for what I’d like to major in, would it be a good idea to attend at age 16? Due to skipping grades, I’ll be graduating in 2021: three months after my sixteenth birthday. Since this isn’t exactly a normal situation, do you have any tips, warnings, or alternatives (other, smaller/safer colleges for the same major in the Ohio area)? Thanks!
There is a very strong dual enrollment (free tuition and books) for in state Ohio students, so you might be surprised to find people your own age (although the size of main campus may make it hard since they blend in). If you want a smaller campus, the regional campuses (Marion in particular) offer CS classes, honors sections and have plenty of hs students taking dual enrollment. Are you in state for OH or OOS?
