OT: Have you attended an adventure summer camp?

<p>D wants to go on an adventure type summer camp next year. She will be in 7th grade in 2011. Are there any recommendations for ones that you went on or equally as important- anything to stay away from?</p>

<p>This year, she's taking a science course that involves snorkeling and canoeing. Some adventure with science mixed in.</p>

<p>I'm looking for something that last about 3 weeks for her.</p>

<p>If anyone has been on trip and can give personal recommendations, I’d appreciate it.
I’d like D to have a summer camp experience in America as we live overseas during the academic school year. She could see part of the US.</p>

<p>Camp Widjiwagan–one of those camps that makes adults wax poetic about their teen summers…and the teens I know who have gone there have all loved it.</p>

<p>I sent my daughter on a trip to hawaii with the wild traveler. They were great - super easy to talk to and a bit more affordable. </p>
