Other Scholarships

At this time of year thousands of students who applied by the December 1 deadline are waiting and hoping to receive the large admission packet sent out by the university. Unfortunately, not all the applicants can be selected for the extremely competitive Mork, Stamps, Trustee and Presidential Scholarships.

There are other scholarships awarded by the university:

There are some smaller scholarships with a separate application such as IFC, Panhellenic, Yellow Ribbon, Topping and ethnic alumni groups. Check with the financial aid office for application dates and special requirements for these scholarships.

There have been discussions regarding local scholarships given by civic, political, corporations, religious, and other organizations. Some of these have very few applicants.

Are applicants notified of these after March? Do they require separate apps?

Town and Gown and Jewish Leadership require a separate application. Town and Gown notification varies.

On the admissions website for SC these are listed in greater detail. Topping Scholars, in particular, have very specific qualifications and requirements for recipients.

S received Leadership Scholarship. It just showed up in his FA award letter.

Sincere congratulations to your son!
