Hey,I am an international student and going to apply in MIT for architecture major. But recently I ve read the article

And now I have big doubts that I make right choice,Is it the same picture in MIT or not?
How do you know that this is how it is in the first place? Do you believe everything you read?

Yes, all the highly selective schools will be competitive even after you are admitted. There will be a lot of pressure. If you are a person who does not thrive in pressure and competition you can get burned out. Specially as you are an International student, you may feel even more isolated than other students.
My advice - don’t just look at school ranking or prestige. Look for schools where there will be some other students from your country, and groups that share your non-academic goals.
