Thought I would start up a fun thread! Here's out it works:

-State where you hope to go for college/ Your major
-Whether you plan to go to grad school or not
-Your final career goal
-Any other hopeful accomplishments
-Opinion/advice on user above you!

I'll start:

I plan to double major in Economics and journalism at WP Carey and the Walter Cronkite school at ASU (top 20 schools for each of their subjects)
Hopefully gain fluency in Spanish during my undergrad
Go to the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland to pursue either a masters in Anthropology and Sociology of development or a masters in International Economics. (Gain fluency in French while I am there)
End up working for the social and economic department in the United Nations!

-UCLA/Film
-Maybe. We shall see.
-Write scripts. Make TV series. Make people laugh. Make people cry.
-Develop a cult following.
-Start French research now, and practice regularly! The older you get, the harder it is to learn a new language!

Case Western/Math.

Yes.

Something with math, unless I turn out to suck at math and have to major in something else. Right now I’m interested in being a professor, an actuary, or a teacher at a private high school, but there are all kinds of other jobs I don’t know much about that I might end up being interested in.

Adopt a teenager, grow my hair down to the floor, get better at piano.

Have a backup plan.

Cal Poly is the dream, but Kansas University is the realistic option. Probably Engineering but Economics/Finance as a backup in case I suck at engineering.

Grad school is a possibility. I’d prefer if I didnt have to go straight out of undergrad so I have a chance to earn money and pay off undergrad loans and whatnot . But I see it as likely at some point…esp if I get bored and want to go to Law school or something like that.

I’ll give you the same advice my teachers give me: have confidence. I’m sure you’ll be great at math given the level of success you’ve had in math already.

-I don’t really have a preference in college out of these Duke, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, UNC Chap. And double major in Neuroscience/Cognitive Science and Psychology, with a minor in either spanish or history.
-Go to graduate school at UPenn and pursue a masters in logic and computation and behavioral biology
-Get a Doctorate at some amazing school in behavioral and Cognitive psychological theory on intelligence

-End up owning my own facility for research on brain stimulation and theory and become a medical scientist. Or work at the CIA as an intelligence analyst :))

UCLA/ Neuroscience :)

I don’t know

Neuroscientist

I want to get involved in biotechnology and neuroscience research. Maybe some clinical studies, too.

Good luck, liveleadlove! Since we both want to study neuroscience, maybe we can save the world together.
