Are admissions standards higher for out of state students than for in state students? Does anyone know the academic profile of the out of state students vs. that of the in-state students?

Hi. The admission requirements at State are the same for both in-state and out-of-state students. They don’t publish separate profiles for in-state and out-of-state.

While the state schools in NC are held to a maximum of 18% OOS enrollment, NC State typically enrolls around 10% OOS. I would guess that this is primarily a function of the number of OOS applicants. Therefore, I would assume that an OOS student with stats that meet the profile standard would have an excellent chance of acceptance.

Thanks for the info!!
