How are the chances of admission if you are out of state? Disregarding my stats because I’m a sophomore. I live over 2,500 miles from berkeley, so is moving across the country for college acceptable?

The few years prior have been kind to out of state applicants because of the California state budget cuts. i.e. they need the money of out of state students i.e. they’re not terrible, but still competitive.
Also keep in mind people from around the world drop everything to come to Berkeley, to put things in perspective.

You will notice that the OOS acceptance rate is higher than in-state and International, but the average Stats are also higher. Also keep in mind, that UC’s offer little to no financial aid to OOS applicants, so expect to pay close to $55K/year to attend.
