Out of state

Any information on percent of freshman that are from OOS? Daughter just made LAST minute decision to apply, from NJ.
Also, they have a Vet program (DVM), any knowledge of acceptance if undergrad degree from NC State? Do not see any dual degree BS/DVM on their website.TIA

No idea but they have a great Vet program…good luck!

Have you checked their Common Data Set or looked around on their website? Our state school had a page that listed what counties students came from. I think it also included the # of OOS and international students. Maybe your state school has that info. on their site too.

I spoke with someone from the admissions office a few weeks ago, and was told that OOS students constitute less than 17% of NCSU undergraduates. (This came in the context of the UNC System rule that an entering freshman class can have no more than 18% OOS students.) According to the admissions officer, OOS applicants are considered in the same way as in-state applicants because the OOS limit has not been met; in contrast to the situation down the road in Chapel Hill.

If you look at the NCSU Common Data Set, here, https://oirp.ncsu.edu/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/CDS_2016-2017.v10.pdf , as @austinmshauri suggests, Part F1 reveals that for entering freshmen last semester, 12% were OOS; and of the total undergraduate population, 10% were OOS.
