Congrats to those who were accepted and to all of you for you fabulous "credentials". My son is interested in Olin and is currently a junior. As the Mom, I am wondering what the graduates of Olin are doing? It is a new school and I wonder what graduate schools think or how much interest there is in Olin graduates? Can anyone comment?

I won't be attending Olin until the fall, so this is mostly info scraped together from CW/websites/etc., and in no way all-encompassing. : )
Well, we've only had one graduating class so far, but the results have been pretty astonishing:
http://careers.olin.edu/docs/profiles/Class%20of%202006%20Profile_Current.pdf
To quickly sum up that document, 14 went to top grad school programs for math/science/engineering, 10 to other types of graduate school, 24 went to work for companies, 4 students founded 3 companies, and 3 to other pursuits.
Don't know about you, but that strikes me as pretty amazing. : )

For a more subjective point of view, I got to speak to some alumni during CW (okay, I got to listen to them talk and ask a few questions. ; ) ), 2 of whom were attending MIT. And they both said that they didn't seem to have a harder time in grad school than any other grad students, even when compared with people who did their undergrad at MIT too.
In fact, someone pointed out that having a school no one's ever heard of on your application can actually work to your advantage: they'll look at it closer out of sheer curiosity. ; ) Though I'm sure by the time the class of '12 graduates, schools like MIT and Stanford's grad departments will be very familiar with Olin.

Hope that helped! Good luck with your son's college apps. : )

She liked Olin. She applied to two grad schools, MIT and Cal Berkeley. She was not accepted at UCB, she had applied there to a program outside of engineering.

I think that she's the fourth Olin student who has been accepted at MIT for grad work, the other three are from the class of '06. My impression from conversations with her lately is that about one quarter of the graduating class is going on to grad school.
