Outdoorsy schools good in math/statistics?

<p>Except, I can’t see someone who is attracted to places like Bowdoin, Grinnell and Whitman being too drawn to Colorado School of Mines. It’s an engineering school, more so than MIT (which has first-rate liberal arts departments) or Harvey Mudd (which has access to other Claremont system offerings). And I think the majority of students would find Golden a much less desirable college town than Boulder.</p>
