Outside Scholarships?

<p>On Amherst’s website, they say that the money from outside scholarships covers only work study. However, it will not cover family contribution. My question is, where does the extra money go from the scholarships if you get enough to cover more than the work study? </p>

<p>First they’ll replace the self-help portion of the aid award; workstudy and the summer earnings contribution. After that it reduces the scholarship help that would otherwise be coming from Amherst.</p>
