this is a great and inspiring article about 4 hispanic high school students beating MIT students at a robot competition!!

Inspiring story? Yes. Reassuring to people who are going to pay $43000 a year to attend engineering school? Not so much....

wow thats incredible, and I'm DEFINITELY glad I didn't apply to MIT. What kind of calibration is "too difficult" for a troup of brainiacs at an internationally renowned engineering school with $11,000 worth of funding, yet can be pulled off by highschool kids, not to mention immigrant, low-income HS kids who have tried to joiun gangs, at a public HS with "Anger Management" classes. Don't worry perro, i'm sure cornell is far superior.

bump to the tizzzzop

What is MIT? I only know Cornell engineering trumps all

MIT is a low quality school (I mean they can't even stand up to HS kids!) that some kids are foolish enough to attend over cornell engineering. It's near another low end school called something like...hahvard...

Hey, Quyne, which one is an easier major for admissions: Biology and Society or Human Biology, Health, and Society?

Hahvahd sucks.

yes, I know, that was relevant

great story!

Drinkingmilkallday: Apply To The Major You Fit The Most With!?

what do you want to do after cornell?

law: H&S would be easier

medical: HBHS

personally, H&S would probably require at least some explanation why you chose HE over CALS/CAS, and the only thing I can see as a great explanation would be that HE is very practical and application oriented as opposed to the other colleges which focuses more on theories, and historical aspects (in general, but there are exceptions).

Just go with your instincts now, you'll have plenty of time to explore and find out where your interest lies, and can switch if needed.

Excellently put quynh2007. Thats exactly what i did, and why i chose B&S :)

yeah, H&S = B&S, i dunno why I kept typing H&S...?! :P sorry
