<p>With the good press Chicago's gotten recently, and the great timing of that press, I think you'll see a bumper year of apps.</p>
<p>At Chicago, as at many colleges, transfers are really a whole different kettle. IMHO, transfers are not about keeping classroom seats full (and therefore transfer spots dependent on attrition from the previous class year) and more about offering opportunity to a different kind of student and finding kids that bring specific skills to the table. </p>
