overload classes?

Hi I was setting up my classes for next semester and was just wondering if anyone could give an opinion on whether or not taking five classes a day in order to get Tuesdays and Thursdays off would be a bad or good idea. These are the classes

From the way you phrase it, it sounds like a terrible idea for you. Why? Because you think you’d have Tuesdays and Thursdays “off”. If you wanted to make that schedule work at all, you’d have to make Tuesday, Thursday, and your weekends the days you do homework and MWF the days you go to classes. If you’re the type to work even when nothing’s due for another day or two, you can definitely make it work, but if you’re a procrastinator, even just a little bit, you could end up absolutely swamped on MWF.

5 classes a day, not as bad as you’d think as long as you don’t mind long days on campus.

You can make it work with many classes…this semester I had anywhere from 4-8 classes/lessons/ensemble rehearsals per day, and that’s Monday through Friday (but I’m a music major, so…yeah).

That really sounds like a lot. I would dread/be exhausted on those days if I did that…then again, I like everything to be ‘chill’ and spaced out, so I have plenty of time between classes to relax.

I could do it if I had a strong purpose for taking those classes and set up a routine to wake up early MWF to prepare for the day.

I currently have MWF off (except for dance class which I LOOOOVVVEEE) and take 3 classes Tuesday Thursday and I usually skip 2 of the classes because I ace the exams without attending class. I’m a bad example. Listen, I just want to get outta college… LOL

You may be able to get permission for it, but a word of caution. Forcing yourself to spread your effort over more courses can cause you to do poorly in more of them, and in some instances to fail several because you’re spread so thin.
