Overnight parking / late night classes

The parking website tells me that a student commuter permit is NOT valid for overnight on-campus parking.

But I'm having trouble finding info as to what are the hours that constitute "overnight". For some days, I think I'll be required to stay on campus as late as 11 or so. Is that okay with just the normal parking pass?

Anybody with any info?

I don’t have any info but it should make sense that the commuter permits should be valid until at least 11:00 PM. Many of the study places close at that time.

Sometimes I’ll be in engineering until 3-5am. Never got a ticket, never had a problem. If you don’t have your permit on display, however…be prepared to find a small manila colored envelope under your wiper lol.

Haha! I got that envelope on Monday while parking in structure by the social science area. I had no idea that I needed a parking permit! I’m such a lost incoming freshman…lol

lol, make sure you call the parking office asap. Your first ticket gets waived. No more exemptions after that though :(.

I’d think overnight would be after 12AM, since that’s when the day passes for garages expire.

yeah, it lasts until 11:59

I’m just going to guess that no one checks during summer at 3AM though.
