hi guys,
so recently back in december i started designing bts enamel pins and started a business. it’s grown quite a lot, and i just reached 1.4k followers today. as a sophomore, i believe that i can really get kind of big with this (not to sound arrogant). would this make me “stand out” when applying to colleges? i’m not the smartest student but i’m really passionate about making these pins, so maybe this could make me stand out a bit?
It absolutely could help you stand out, but if I were an admissions officer, I’d rather see revenue than number of followers. That would tell me it is more than a hobby, and how much more.
Yes it would. It shows that you have experience and that you have the quality to be succesful. Although the $$ would be better as a way to gauge the business instead of followers since followes=/= how much is being sold.
Also make sure you are not infringing on any BTS copyrights or such.
Be sure your academics don’t take a back seat to your business. Colleges will not overlook poor grades because you have a business.
you should be in NY this week, the lines once again for their upcoming SNL appearance are massive.
It is quite likely that you should have trademark infringement concerns.
