Oxbridge, LSE and UCL as a french high school student in the U.S.

Hey everyone. I am a french immigrant that moved to the United States 4 years ago, and currently a junior in a pretty competitive public high school. I was wondering what my chances are in competitive schools like Oxbridge, UCL and LSE. Here are my stats:

  • SAT 1500 superscore (1470 first try, 1480 second try)
  • SAT II Math II: 800 Physics: 780 French: 800

-APs
Sophomore year:
French - 5

Junior year:
Statistics - I will receive my scores during the summer but I am expecting a 4
Computer Science A: Same as stat but expecting a 5

Senior year (APs I plan on taking):
Literature
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Psychology
Physics C Mechanics
Physics C EM
Calculus BC
European History
Computer Science Principles
And Maybe:
Physics 1
Physics 2

I plan on applying to the universities above in subjects related to economics. What SAT score should I aim for and it is worth it to take this many APs my senior year? Also since I will not have the 3 5’s many universities require, do you believe I can still get a conditional offer based on the number of APs I am taking senior year?

Thanks everyone.

Your list of Senior year Ap’s is insane and pointless, whether for LSE, Oxbridge, or a top US college.
COnditional offers are NOT based off the number of AP classes you take, but solely on relevant AP or post-AP classes you are expected to get a 5 or A in.
Can your parents be full pay in the UK?

You can get a conditional - the conditional will require 5s in subjects directly related to the major you’re applying for. My guess is that they’re going to want the 5s in Calc BC at least. It’s too bad the Stats score is expected to be a 4, a 5 would have helped since it is related to your intended major.

If that number of AP classes is too much for you, drop the ones that the UK colleges won’t care about for your major, such as Literature, Psych and European History.
