Ok so I have a question about which of these two would be better for an undergraduate who wishes to pursue medicine or chemistry as possible majors. Between Oxford and Cambridge, since you can only apply to one, which would be better. How do the Ivys such as Harvard compare to Cambridge and Oxford.

Well I personally think Oxbridge is better for both but but medicine is really hard to get into. You basically need academic perfection. Plus don’t forget the tough interview and the BMAT exam you’ll need to take to get in.

Haha i want to study chemistry too at Oxford but it’s the interview that’s scaring me O_o It’s not like the ones U.S. colleges do…

Also keep in mind that there is no specific chemistry course at cambridge. It’s “natural sciences” and it’s more of a combination of various sciences - physics, chemistry, biology, etc. Oxford has a chemistry course in which it is ONLY chemistry.

It also depends on which college you’re applying to. For example, Trinity College, Cam. is more competitive than, say, Queen’s College, Cam because more US students apply to Trinity.
