I was just wondering how Oxford and Cambridge's 3 year Med Program for Undergrads compared to Harvard's 4 year Grad Program for Medicine. Also between Oxford and Cambridge which one is better.

Also how well would the Medicine courses at Oxbridge prepare one for the USMLE STEP Exams.

Undergraduate medicine in the UK takes 5.5-6 years. There is a graduate medicine couse which is 3-4 years which usually recuits biology/biochem graduates in the main.

The UK system is totally different from the US. 100% specialisation from the start. In this case you would study only medicine for the entire length of the course. You are not comparing like with like so a reasonable comparsion seems impossible to me.

alright so would the med program at Cambridge be a sufficient preparation for the STEP exams

any thoughts

I have no idea what STEP exams are.

Step 2/3 definitely. Step 1 maybe, I don’t know how basic science heavy the UK programs are, but chances are that you will have to do a bit more reviewing that the average US student.
