I would like to study Economics/history and I'm not really sure what I wanna do in the future. And maybe I would like to transfer to a business school, but I'm really not sure.

I'm waitlisted by Emory College and accepted by Brandeis.

I wanna study in a place with really good tuition and get really good GPA because I will probably go to law school.

Forgive the confusion, but why the question? If you are still on the waitlist at Emory, you should deposit at Brandeis and call it a day....am I missing something? Were you accepted to Oxford? Is that the question? The answer in that case would depend on whether or not you want to be on the Oxford campus for two years or not.....IMO, I would attend Brandeis, unless you LOVE Atlanta and Oxford and HAVE to be at Emory one way or the other.....

I'm not sure what you mean about a place with "really good tuition." Both Brandeis and Emory are expensive--tuition will be within a few dollars of each other.

Academically, both schools are comparable and both are very good. Emory's campus is more beautiful and Atlanta is a fine place to go to college, but frankly Boston is a much better place. If you get off the waitlist a Emory and prefer it for some reason, then go. But Brandeis is a great alternative.

Oxford College is a small two-year school affiliated with Emory that is 40 miles outside Atlanta in a tiny town. It's actually the original 19th-century Emory campus, and students there go to Emory in Atlanta for their third and fourth years. I'm frankly surprised that having been admitted at Brandeis, you're waitlisted at Oxford @ Emory - Brandeis is a bigger deal to me. Plus, it's part of the metro-Boston ubercool university scene, and you won't have your life and relationships uprooted after your sophomore year in order to transfer to another school. Fror me, Brandeis would be an easy call.

You were waitlisted at Emory, and offered to apply to Oxford as an alternative? Very few get off the wait list, if any. 2006, none. If your goal is to get a high GPA, Oxford would be a good alternative, get your GPA up early (which is much easier than playing catch up later), and graduate from Emory. But you say you may want to transfer to a business school, not sure of what you want to do in the future, but probably law school. That's confusing. If you are serious about law school, the high GPA is really important. But Brandeis and Emory are so different, what else are you considering in making your decision? Big city, suburban, size, location?
