My DD’s friend is considering Oxford. I know from reading information about Oxford that the students who attend Emory after starting at Oxford their first 2 years outperform the students who started at Emory during their junior & senior years. Perhaps its the individual attention during those two years at Oxford from their professors?
Regarding internships, Emory has a strong brand in the Southeast. Here’s a link regarding their summer internship program - [Emory University : The Career Center | Students : Welcome](http://www.career.emory.edu/students/get_experience.html)

What detracted from Brandeis for me was the question of the lack of diversity on campus. I had strong worries about self-segregation of the student body at a school that is over 40% Jewish. But then again, both schools are good in the humanities and both Emory/Deis share a huge ‘student activism’ focus, so…either choice is a good one.
