Which school will better help and set me up for a top medical school? I will be a neuroscience major at both schools. Money isn’t a huge issue.
those are 2 VERY different places. surely you must have a preference.
Neither will “set you up”; pre-med at both schools will be filled with intelligent, driven, and goal directed students. It’s up to you what happens next.
And joe’s right-these two schools have very different campus environments-which works better for you?
While there will be fewer distractions in Covington, Georgia, it will only help for med school admissions if you use that time to earn straight A grades.
Have you been to Oxford at Emory’s campus ?
An old TV show–In The Heat Of The Night–was filmed there.
Emory University Hospital is one of the best medical institutions of America. You can’t go wrong there. By the way, the current president of the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) just accept an offer from Emory University to be their new president.
I prefer to be in a college incorporated with the city like UT is but I don’t mind spending two years at an isolated LAC. Learning wise, I lean towards oxford because of the small class sizes.
