Hi, im not sure if i posted in the right place, im completely new to posting here..

i was accepted to both UT AUSTIN and EMORY and wait listed to UT Austins Natural Science Honors Program. I want to pursue pre med and i do know a few people going to ut austin (similar mindset) and am from texas as well.

What do you think is the better college when considering pre - med? do you think any will specifically increase my chances?
also it costs me about 6,000 dollars more to go to emory, so not too big a difference in money
deadline is tomorrow!

Emory will be better, and only for 6k more? That sounds like a sweet deal to me

If you are from Texas, go to emory. It seems to cost you not much more but emory is more on par with Rice than UT.

If you just want a safe GPA, UT is probably better.

The key to pre-med is how you do in the difficult courses, but those will be difficult at all top universities. You should consider where you will be able to do your best work. Have you visited? Will you be more comfortable at UT Austin or at Emory? Do either of these offer a program to help students in pre-med? Where do you see yourself going to the library and putting in the hours to do well in your pre-med courses?

Quoting for emphasis.

Emory is the better school but for premed it won’t matter. Choose the school you like more.
