Hi rhcpfan16, I’d be happy to help. The Physics department has a portal devoted to explaining the 3/2 program which you can find [here[/url].

To the parent complaining about her aid package - colleges rarely give out a full scholarship package on the first offer, especially when they think the student isn’t particularly interested in the college (which in your case is probably pretty clear). I was accepted to Oxy Regular Decision with a very high need, and their first offer to me was $10,000. When I made it clear that Oxy was my top choice but I could not go without more aid, they covered my entire tuition.

Another school did the same thing (low initial offer), and when I traveled to the school to talk to a finaid counselor we were told there was no more money for me. In other words, they didn’t want me enough.

Hey rhcpfan16, I’m not sure what her GPA was however I can say that she was quite smart. She studied a lot but was also able to balance school and a social life.

I am stuck between Occidental and University of Richmond. Does anyone have any opinion on which school is a better fit? I am studious, friendly, and moderate girl from Boston, MA. I want to major in psychology and be involved in research. Does either school have a better program for psychology research?

Hi! I know that the Psychology department has a lot of research opportunities for students. Oxy actually recently produced a video about the Psych department - [Professor Profile: Psychology, Brian Kim - YouTube](<a href=“Professor Profile: Psychology, Brian Kim - YouTube”>Professor Profile: Psychology, Brian Kim - YouTube)
It has a lot of good info about the coursework and research opportunities within that department. Hope that helps!

Well I ended up getting wait listed. I’m not going to try to get accepted though, because I got a killer scholarship for Baylor Good luck you guys!
