<p>My S accepted today with a OOG grant and an OCS.</p>
<p>So now the decision making comes between Oxy/Puget/NYU/Babson or U of Illinois.</p>
<p>My S accepted today–but this has been his only acceptance: denied at Wesleyan, Vassar, Carleton and waitlisted at Macalester and Colorado College. We are still waiting to hear from Oberlin, but expect a waitlist at best.</p>
<p>Ironically, Oxy was the one school we did not visit! Going there for their OH on April 8th now.</p>
<p>We are East Coast. Would love to hear from those of you who know more about Oxy than I do. My son is geared for humanities, music (jazz, drums) and would like to play varsity tennis.</p>
<p>My first response to his acceptance is COOL! After a lifetime around NE institutions (we live in Cambridge, MA:) Occidental seems like a breath of fresh air!</p>
<p>Wait listed…? Haha, was going to UC San Diego anyway, just quite unexpected.</p>

<p>I live in Washington state and I didn’t get any mail from Oxy today. Unfortunately, I probably won’t know until next Monday, April 4th, since it’s spring break and I’m going on vacation.

My International Admission Officer said she would email me the decision as soon as she sends the snail-mail…
Haven’t been accepted at any other colleges…but this is the best one for me…GOD help me…fingers crossed…

<p>Maybe email them and ask? I thought all the decisions went out on the 24th, but maybe it depends on who your admissions officer is?
I feel your pain, it is my first choice and the last one I have to hear back from…not been good news so far, so I am pretty worried to not have heard anything yet.
