I know there is difference in perspective…
but I would be new to the college, to the country if I get accepted at Oxy, and things such as social equality and norms really does matter for an international, won’t it?</p>
<p>Yes it does. But I really think that if you aren’t making friends at Oxy, it’s not because you’re a minority. 40% of students define themselves as minorities, and you can’t get much better then that. My tour guide, and a recent grad I talked to, said that this was her favorite part of Oxy. When I was there today I saw groups of African American, Asian, and Caucasian students eating together.</p>

<p>The enthusiasm you all have for the school is contagious–really looking forward to visiting. If the current study body is as passionate and articulate as these applicants and shares their school spirit, it would be a great place to spend four years. Best of luck to all!</p>

<p>Yeah I applied to 9 other LACs and 1 mid sized university. I am not sure, but I think in the past it has only been snail mail. And I live all the way in Chicago…wonderful.</p>
