PA Email Confirmation?

I submitted my essays to Phillips Academy on January 31. That was the last component of my application. Recs, scores, writing sample, etc had been submitted prior. I read somewhere that we’re supposed to receive an email confirmation that our application is complete within 48 hours of finishing it. However, it’s been three days, and I haven’t gotten anything. Perhaps the admissions office is overloaded right now (Feb 1 deadline)?

Is there anyone else in the same position as me?

I’d say wait a few more days then email/call them. I submitted everything else I needed to submit on the 31st, like you, and I received an email this morning. They are probably just very overloaded right now.

After I submitted my application, I received a confirmation nearly a week later.

I have come to learn that admissions officers have to look at each component of your application in order to send a confirmation.

@MysticBaguette @YoungThriver Great, thank you for your replies.

@daythemusicdied I submitted my application on the feb 1st deadline and received my confirmation email just a couple hours ago. I agree that you might want to wait at least until the coming week to call them.

I submitted my application itself on Jan 30, transcripts sent Feb 1, haven’t gotten a confirmation email either.

Alright, thank you guys again. @CC4life

@daythemusicdied did you go to CTY? :slight_smile:

@gracelilly Haha, yes I did. I was sure somebody would pick up on that, given the academic nature of this forum. What site did you go to?

Also, @CavsFan2003, I thought I would let you know that I received my confirmation email this morning.

@daythemusicdied That’s good! I assume I’ll get mine tomorrow or something…

Ugh… the admissions office says my counselor recommendation is incomplete even though my GC said he emailed them to explain he could not do the rec (district policy)…

@CavsFan2003 Oh no, I wish I could offer some helpful advice, but I’m inexperienced in the admissions process. Good luck. I hope you are able to work it out.
