I knew a few people at CMU that had done the Governor’s School thing before attending. They were all pretty happy with it. One of my friends also did the medical one down the street at Pitt, and said it was great.

That is SOOO fabulous. I wish it had not been cancelled when my kids could have gone there. But I’m so glad it will be available again.

Thanks for posting. Pitt had still been running the medical Governor’s school last year, but with state funding having been cancelled, it was expensive for high school students.

Sounds like a great program! Wish we lived in PA!!

Turned in the application to my counselor last week. Hope I can get it! It sounds like such an amazing program!

Congratulations. My kid attended the NJ dance program before it was cancelled. Governor’s school is such a great program, glad it is back for PA.

Thank you so much for this info! My current 7th grader is obsessed with astrophysics and I am keeping my ears and eyes open for all opportunities. Hopefully, this will still be around in 4 years!

Dh has fond memories of Governor’s School.

When should we expect to hear back from PGSS? Nervous…
