Hi
I was recently accepted into UF’s Pace Program. Although I would have preferred to be accepted traditionally into the campus, I am highly considering this program. But I do have a few concerns. Will I be able to take the the CLEP exam in order to receive certain credits? And will I be able to know how many credits I would need to take exactly before committing to this program (taking into consideration CLEP and AP) ? Lastly, by when would I be transferred to the main campus?
Thanks and I am interested in learning more about UF’s Pace Program! Go Gators!
See the main PaCE thread for some answers and of course talk with an adviser before making your final decision.
You can earn and use CLEP and AP credits. These would count toward the “60” credits you need to earn before being able to transition to the main campus.
See the following link for CLEP info, it will give you the score required to CLEP the class and the UF Class Equivalency for each CLEP exam :

This next link can be used to determine your AP credits:
https://catalog.ufl.edu/ugrad/current/advising/info/AP-examination-credit-info.aspx
Once UF receives your test scores, they will be able to tell you how many credits you would need to transition to UF. However, you may not get all of your AP scores to UF till this summer (if you’re taking any AP classes this year).
You also have to complete all prerequisite or tracking requirements with required grades for your selected major. So review what’s required for your major.
You should be able to come up with a rough idea by looking at these links and checking out the courses required for your major.
Good Luck and Go Gators!
