Packing for College: What to Bring and What to Leave at Home

You need a TV for video games. Also, some people just like having a bigger TV. It’s nice to watch sports and stuff on a bigger TV.

Yeah, you can get a Tv tuner.

That’s true about rather watching on a bigger tv, but you don’t need a tv to play video games. I can play my Xbox 360 on my laptop or a computer monitor via VGA

But what fun is playing by yourself? Nobody is going to want to split a laptop screen.

Well…all I will bring is a TV, clothes and my laptop. My dorm room is provided with basically every needs already…

Get your 10" laptop that everyone seems to like nowadays. Then hook it up to a 38" CRT you can buy at Goodwill for $40. Online content, cheap, and big enough screen for people across the hall to watch.

I’m not really supposed to bring it, but I’m going to sneak in a tiny tea pot that boils hot water in the microwave. My sister had one freshman year and she used it all the time to make tea, hot chocolate, cup of noodles, easy mac…

You can do all of that in a normal cup or bowl.

How has no one mentioned this? Condoms, bring condoms. If you’re a girl, make sure your dad sees you packing them.

Condoms can easily be found once you’re there. Generally, people pack things that can’t be found at school.

A lot of colleges give out free condoms. You could save money… unless you have specific needs.

Unless the freebies are a recognizable brand I’d steer away from them. I’ve heard most of those are rather uncomfortable and have a higher failure rate than those from traditional manufacturers.

Just buy from condomman.com. I’ve ordered there a number of times and gotten prompt service, great prices, and a quality product. ;)

What I’m bringing:
Bed set (pillows, comforter, sheets, pillowcases, foam cushion)
Storage Drawers
Iron, silicon iron rest, ironing board
Lamp
100 count thing of advil, soup
Bookbag, laptop, ipod, school supplies
Wastebasket, TV
Towels, toiletries, and a dry erase board.
Move-in day will be fun.

Im sure everyone agrees with me when i say GEORGE FOREMAN. Bring his grill with u. Some days itll be the best thing that happenes to u. Trust me. It may change your life

Before bringing a George Foreman, check with your school/reslife. I know that at all three of the Arizona universities, George Foreman grills are not allowed in the dorms.

most dorms don’t allow them. All you have to do is hide it when the fire inspector comes and dont be dumb. If you are dumb enough to burn something on it then don’t have one.
