Well, well jaw007!
You have better grades than me? Well, I'm impressed. (lol)
What are ur grades anyway?
And what colleges r u applying to?
As for the headgirl, I KNOW U R NOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!! I was referring to someone else. ( :) )
SATs? Well, In May this year, I got 2190 on the SAT, having studied from Barrons mostly, although I was totally dissatisfied with my overall preparation. I did not even do Wordsmart at all. So, yeah, Inshallah SATs will be the best academic feature of my application. I'm scheduled for SAT 1 in October, as u probably know, considering u've read my whole profile up till now.

Anyway, enough of that. If u want advice, well, honestly speaking I'm not the person to ask. Because I am basically in the same boat as u. I could however help u somewhat. Tell me what scores u r currently achieving in Practice Tests (Only tests from the official Collegeboard book r fully accurate in showing ur score, so dont tell me a score form Barrons or Princeton Review or some other source).
DO NOT go for an SAT tuition with Princeton Review or some other tutor, cos they are really no use. Two classfellows of mine went there and they got scores like 1900 or 1950 ,lol!!! These tuitions are totally TOTALLY useless. And they cost tons of money. Work out ur own strategy using the SAT guide books that are available here. Do Wordsmart 1 and 2 thoroughly. Thouroghly, meaning EACH AND EVERY WORD. But remember that even if u know all the words in Wordmart (like I do ;) ), it does not guarantee u a perfect or even good SAT
critical reading score. U need to have "verbal reasoning ability". That is, u need to have the insight and analytical skills to understand:
a) what the author is saying clearly and explicitly
b) what the author is indirectly or implicitly saying
c) what is the central theme or idea or purpose of the passage

Where do u learn this stuff? Practice is the answer. Practice from every SAT book u can find.

As for the writing section essay, just take one good example and one small (but equally good) example .Spend five minutes at the start of ur 25 minutes to plan ur essay in writing. State ur thesis statement at the start, very clearly. Then give some logical argument. Then do ur examples, LINKING THEM CLEARLY TO THE UR VIEW ON THE TOPIC. That means that after each example, state how it proves ur view of the topic, dont just move on abruptly. Finally, please DO remember to conclude clearly, and if possible, use a cool ending statement. Even if u cannot find two good examples for ur view of the topic, just use one and develop it a lot.

As for the Math section, just treat it like a class 9 Mathematics exam, but its prepared by the Devil in Hell. Think of it that way.

U'll do fine, if ur results in O-levels were "better" than mine. ;)

But please remember that even if ur Olevel results WERE better than mine, u'll have a tough time beating me in the SAT. (no malice, just for a fight--- ;) remember, u started it!!!!!!!) Hehehe
