Pansexual?

Hello CC!

I am pansexual, of course my family doesn't know yet, but that is beside the point. I was wondering how supportive MIT is for pansexuals like me. I really need a supportive environment and the college I end up going to, I want to feel supported by the people I will be around for the next 4 years.

So again: how supportive is MIT for pansexuals?

The community I live in has assexuals, bisexuals, gays, and polyamorous persons. There are probably pansexuals here too. Right now we’re working on gender-neutral housing options. We are open and we are accepting. You are welcome here.

I’m here! ^_^

Goodnyte - This will vary a lot by the dorm, or between floors. As lidusha mentioned, our dorm as a whole is pretty accepting, and pretty open to discussing sexuality (which is a separate metric - I know of some other MIT dorms where they don’t care about your sexuality, but it’s awkward to discuss, straight or not). I strongly suggest you look at the Living Pink guide to get a feel for different dorms/FSILGs:
