Panther for a Day

Hello to all admitted students! I was wondering if any of you have attended Chapman's Panther for a Day Program or will attend. If so how was it and what class did you sit in on/are you planning to sit in on? Any comments/questions about the program?

a’s-n-b’s

Haven’t been yet, but D is planning to sit in on the screenwriting class at Dodge on 4/23. We are heading out to Chapman (from the DC area) for Accepted Students Day on 4/21, then staying on so she can do Panther for a Day.

Son attended an intermediate 3D character animation class two weeks ago. Taught by an adjunct professor currently working in the industry. Son said the lecture was excellent and interesting. Class had approx 12 students, he said. Students were engaged and nice. It was a good glimpse into the program because of some snafu–dodge didn’t get a heads up that he was sitting in. It was a regular class, with no special to-do for a guest that they werent expecting. Bill Kroyer walked in toward the end to see how the class was going (also nice to hear!) and only then did he discover they had a potential dodge kid sitting in! He was very welcoming and invited DS to stop by his office and say hi, which he did. Son felt the vibe was focused and very professional, and that the program would be a good fit. He plans to go back to sit in on a 2D character animation course. Overall, he said the visit made him “even more inclined” to go to Chapman. It’s already his first choice. :)

oh wow glad to hear that gladiator! i didn’t know they’d let you sit in on more than one class :o
