Panther for a Day

Just received my email for Panther for a Day 2013. :D

I'm a little confused by the process, though - do I just email Dodge and ask to observe a Digital Arts class, and they tell me what day works?

We got the same email. I noted that it includes lunch and a tour and is scheduled for any day the college is holding class (not just Preview Day). At the end of the letter it said to call the specific department if you want to attend a class. Dodge is on of those listed there. So yes - call Dodge (the number listed at the bottom of the letter/email).

I emailed Dodge, and they asked for this info: phone number, the dates that work best for you, any time constraints you might have for those dates, and whether or not you’re interested in touring dodge.

So a head’s up for anyone planning on scheduling.

I just wanted to bring clarification to a post above: Preview Day is on a Saturday so no classes are being held that day; therefore you cannot be a Panther for a Day on Preview day. Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays are the best days to partake in the Panther for a Day program.

A month ago l had posted (I don’t know if anything has changed from when I made this post):

Panther for A Day

This program allows students to sit in on classes (both GE and Dodge College classes), eat lunch in the cafeteria, and take tours of the campus. The official program is held Mondays and Wednesday from February thru April. You should receive an email invitation for the program from the Office of Admissions. If you have any questions, you can contact their office at (714) 997-6711.

If you are visiting on a Tuesday or Thursday, you can still arrange to sit in on a class. Just call the major’s department office to know which class(s’) to attend.

When D (freshman, film production) went out for Preview Day, we arranged to also do Panther for Day on the same trip. (Yes, on a weekday. I think we did Thursday before the Saturday Preview Day.) This was the first time she had been at Chapman. She sat in on a screenwriting class. Needed to do it all in one shot since we are from the east coast. It all worked out fine, and the two events plus the Women in Focus conference gave her a thorough picture of Dodge and Chapman.
