Paper or Online

Im sure this has been asked before, so sorry in advance. But Ive heard it is better to apply online because it is easier for the admissions officers to process. I checked it out and there is no place on the online version to elaborate on your one important activity or send a picture of yourself.

I guess my question is this, does it really matter? It sounds pretty stupid to be able to get an upper hand in admissions by applying online instead of traditionally. However, Im new to this college admissions stuff, mabye it carries some weight. Thanks for the input.

well, you can elaborate on an activity in an essay, and there is a place to upload a photo

plus, mistakes can be made transfering things from paper into the computer

After (or as) my S applied on line, there was a form he was required to
print, sign and submit snail mail; he attached photo to that.

So is the concensus that it is important to submit online instead of paper?

not vital, but could be helpful

sort of an unstated preference

yeah, imagine a SEAS student submitting his by paper.

i've been laughing for at least 7 or 8 minutes just thinking about it.

no that's not true--for the literal people.

hmm I'm sending in my app by paper.

but I've also registered for an Online app account. If I've already activated an online account but will not end up doing the online app do i need to somehow deactivate the online account?

If so - how do I do that?

Thank you! :)
