paper versus electronic

is it a bad thing if i send my application the good-old fashioned way - on paper? i've been told by my college counselor that universities loathe paper, but I've attended many summer programs, have taken classes post-secondary two years, am sending extra materials, am sending a more comprehensive activity list, etc. etc. If I were to submit my application online at commonapp.org, I would have to send a huge chunk of my application again through paper anyway, which seems strange and even more unwieldy than just sending the whole thing through paper...

are paper applications cool, or should i still send it online?

Uhh...colleges don't care.

online there are sections where you can write all the extra stuff

i know that the common app itself has a box and the supplement has another

I have the same question.

Harvard says that it has no preference, but I am doubtful of that?

Why would you be? Geez....anxious seniors ask the darnest things!

Colleges receive your online app, and then print it. I see no difference between doing it online vs. sending in the paper app.

But if you do use the paper app, make sure your handwriting is neat (or type it).
