A few weeks ago i received a packet from Harvard which included a full application (Common as well as the Harvard supplement). Does it make any difference if i mail the paper application, or is there a preference for completing it online?

Online is easier for you to do in my mind. You don’t have to worry about which page is which.

You can apply either way (paper or online), but it’s much easier to apply online. It really makes it easier on you in terms of keeping up with everything, and I’m sure it also makes it easier on the adcoms (all they have to do is download the file as a PDF and print it off versus waiting for all the different papers to come in through the mail).

If you have internet access, do it online - as above posters have said it is far easier.

about 40,000 people received that. i’m just using the paper for scratchwork and sending it online.

I did everything on the CommonApp when I was applying to Harvard. It was very easy.

Now, where is my Harvard rejection letter?
