Dear GRE test takers,

While the GRE is now offered mostly as a CAT, one still has the option of taking the paper test. I think I could do better on the paper test because it's easier to manage your time and answer all the questions.

Do you think schools would look down on a paper-based GRE exam score?

I’m pretty sure it’s only an option when you’re in an area without CAT testing.

i highly doubt it… the CAT test has been known to be abit dodgy since you tend to get a better score if you get the 1st 15-20 qestions correct.

I have the same question. I think paper is better bc u can go back to other problems you get stuck on.

Thoughts?

My guess would be that they wouldn’t care, since they both are equal and supposedly measure equally.

This prompts a question: Do you handwrite the essay if you choose the paper version? Or is it typed at a computer in the testing room?
